Lurvey-durvey day...
<<<--- -- 14 February 2007 -- --->>>

Alright, things aren't bad for Valentine's Day. Work has been tolerable, and the annoyances were minor and shared. I treated myself to my new favorite drinkable crack: Sbux cinnamon dolce mocha, which is all sweet and spicy and chocolate mmmmmgoodness. I'm trying to embrace the hearts-and-flowers and not get all bitter. I called some of the people I adore, and so I'm sort of in the spirit!

Also, I'm looking cute, thanks to boots, black tights, and my good friend burnout velvet. Plus the hair is working for me...it's getting longer, and I'm re-acclimating to getting it stuck in my collar, under scarves, on buttons, etc. I'd forgotten about all that...it's been yeeeears since I had hair long enough to have to remember.

Last time I had long hair, I was often surrounded by men in kilts. Maybe growing it out again will bring them back? Hmmm....let's hope, shall we?

Maybe the funniest thing I've read in awhile: "In the science of sexual attraction, size matters."

I laughed out loud when I read that. Of course, the article is about fish...but the headline is hilarious. My reaction: uh, duh.

"Hey, baby, look at me go from zero to hero -
You better take it from a geek like me
Well, I can save you from
Unoriginal dum-dums
Who wouldn't care if you complete them or not"

- "Geek in the Pink," Jason Mraz

Pet Peeve of the Day: GOP spin. I am so tired of hearing how Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are at each other's throats. WHATEVER!! I'm not saying they're quite best buds at this point, but I am certain that both of them are playing fair and just trying to represent themselves well - not undermine each other. Just because Republicans are cut-throat sons of bitches (Hi, John McCain, you flip-flopping bastard who was totally swiftboated before it was called swiftboating!), doesn't mean that the Dems are infighting like two year olds. Ugh.

Don't buy it, people. Don't buy it!

In today's "Insanity Spotlight," I had a guy e-mail me offering to be my slave. Seriously, that's all he said. Nothing about him, nothing interesting - just "need a slave, i'm yours." First off, wtf? You can't at least share a little about who the hell you are?

Anyway, I respond (politely, I might add) that that's really not my thing; thanks, though, and good luck. I get back: "I will pay cash, let me lick your toes." Setting aside the ewwww factor of toe licking...who in the bloody hell pays to lick some strange person's toes??

Also, is this another dude trying to treat me like a hooker??? 'Cause if so, maybe I need to consider the length of my skirts or something.
