I also am revelling in the fact that my laptop affors me the freedom to hang in my comfy chair while typing all my existential dillemas and/or doing work and/or making electrons dance for my amusement.

Technology rocks.

There is a way that my younger cat likes to curl up in my lap that takes my breath away every now and then. It's both casual and effortless...and also so drenched in the fact that he trusts me to hold him, and that he's welcome. He likes to pour himself over one hip and lay his head on my forearm (especially when I'm typing, like right now), with one paw thrown out to almost claw my leg. He rubs his nose into my skin, and usually purrs himself right into a nap. It's awesome.

I worked too late last night, working on a report and trying to play catch up on some mundane correspondence stuff. It was 9:30 when I left the office, and as I left the office, there was a film crew set up in the building lobby. I was too punch drunk to really pay attention; I assumed it was some promotional thing.

Today, my entire office was abuzz with the fact that Paul Giamatti and Adrian Brody were filming something in *our* building.

I saw them again as I was leaving tonight (this time at 6); I caught a glimpse of the actors. I was not impressed. It's still kind of cool.
