Other than that, things are okay. My plants are doing so well...I discovered that the cinnamon basil seeds I thought were duds came up beautifully, just not where I thought I remembered planting them. (Next year: a map!) My morning glories are spreading gorgeous sky blue pentacles heavenward every morning. My tomatoes have little bunches of yellow flowers just waiting to drop tasty fruits. My peas have a second crop of pods, and my forget-me-nots and marigolds finally are popping out with some blossoms. It is awesome!!

In other news, I'm back in the recording saddle...I laid down a (very) rough cut of a new track (I'm working on a protest song...I have written about five now, but I can't decide if they're trite or cheesy or cliche or pure ass), and am trying to get some feedback on whether it's a good enough song to bother cutting something more polished. I'm also contemplating a couple gigs in the next few months, which is even more exciting. I miss playing out, and I'm itchy for a coffeehouse gig. It just takes time to line them up...everythign takes time. Time!! Why aren't you on my side?!

Dude, this is amazing. I'm not a big fan of Marilyn Manson, but I'm amazed at the way he handled Bill-O.

Speaking of Bill-O, I love Keith "evil, un-American sharks with freakin' laser beams on their heads" Olbermann. And also Crooks & Liars.

I'm reading lots of birthing stories, prepping for a stint in the delivery room with one of my girls. Holy COW is having a baby an intense thing!

That's all I'm saying. Seriously. DAYAM.
