The Mayer. Love him.
<<<--- -- 06 July 2006 -- --->>>

John Mayer's website is now playing "Waiting on the World to Change" from the album he's got coming out in a couple months.

The man is fucking brilliant. I would shag him six kinds of rotten just for creating what he creates. I ache to express this kind of thing so gracefully:

Now if we had the power
to bring our neighbors home from war
They woulda never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on their door

But when you trust your television
What you get is what you got
'Cause when they own the information
They can bend it all they want

Le sigh. I'm sad that his only tour dates seem to be in huge ampitheaters. I refuse to waste another $80 to sit in the cheap seats and watch him on TV.

==================================

Okay, so it's 8:00, and I'm still at the office. There is something wrong with that, on every possible imaginable level. I think it's a night for wandering about downtown, letting the city sparkle at me darkly, absorbing the tragic joy of life and giving my muse a chance to get all worked up.

And also maybe stop for a little drinky-drink. Maybe I can find a cute bartender to flirt with.

Or maybe not. I'll let you know.
